<p dir="RTL" style="text-align: justify; margin-right: 36pt;"><strong>مقدمه و هدف:</strong> داده­های برگرفته از پایگاه­های اطلاعاتی مؤسسه اطلاعات علمی (ISI­) و شاخص­های علم­سنجی حاصل از این داده­ها، مبنای قضاوت در مورد توسعه و اثرگذاری علمی است. هدف از این مقاله، تبیین تفاوت های بین علوم تجربی، علوم اجتماعی و علوم انسانی از منظر شاخص های علمسنجی ISI است.</p>
<p dir="RTL" style="text-align: justify; margin-right: 36pt;"><strong>مواد و روش­ها:</strong> با بازتحلیل یافته­های آماری برخی متون علم­سنجی، استخراج آمارهایی از وب­سایت ISI­ و مرور برخی متون مربوط تفاوت­های علم­سنجی سه قلمرو علوم تجربی، علوم اجتماعی و علوم انسانی بررسی شده است.</p>
<p dir="RTL" style="text-align: justify; margin-right: 36pt;"><strong>یافته­ها:</strong> محدودیت­های ناشی از پایگاه­های استنادی، از جمله پایگاههای اطلاعاتی ISI­ از یک سو و تفاوت­های ماهوی و درونی رشته­ها و حوزه­های مختلف علوم، کاربرد یکسان و تفسیر بی­ملاحظه شاخصهای علم­سنجی را زیر سؤال می­برد. عواملی چون تفاوت میزان تحت پوشش قرار گرفتن علوم تجربی، علوم اجتماعی و علوم انسانی در ISI­، یکسان نبودن جهت­گیریهای ملی (یا بین­المللی) مجلات نمایه­شده در ISI­ بر حسب قلمروها، حوزه­ها و رشته­های مختلف علوم، تفاوت در کم­وکیف تکوین و توسعه نظریه­ها و متعاقب آن، تنوع الگوهای نشر و استناد و رفتارهای ارجاع­دهی پژوهشگران حوزه­های علوم، تفاوت در محمل­های نشر و مخاطبان هدف، مانع زبان (غالب بودن زبان انگلیسی در نمایه­نامه­های ISI­)، گرایش بیشتر به تألیف فردی در برخی رشته­ها نسبت به برخی دیگر و استناد به رسانه­های مختلف ارتباطی مکتوب در علوم اجتماعی و انسانی در مقایسه با علوم تجربی و ... تفاوت­هایی را در کارکردهای علمسنجی برای این رشته­ها و حوزه­ها سبب شده است.</p>
<p dir="RTL" style="text-align: justify; margin-right: 36pt;"><strong>نتیجه­گیری:</strong> با توجه به محدودیت و نامتوازن بودن علم­سنجی برای همۀ رشته­های علمی با تکیۀ صرف بر پایگاه­های اطلاعاتی ISI­، روش­شناسی پیشنهادی جدیدی برای علم­سنجی، به ویژه در حوزه­های علوم انسانی و حوزه­های کیفی علوم اجتماعی لازم است که تلفیقی از روش­های کنونی علمسنجی و داوری کیفی خبرگان هر حوزه باشد.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman;"><strong>Background and Aim: </strong>Data extracted from ISI databases (indexes) and the scientometric indicators are the bases of judgment on scientific influence and developments. This review article aimed at explaining possible differences in the scientometrics of sciences, social sciences and humanities based on ISI’s scientometric indicators.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman;"><strong>Material and Methods: </strong>Reanalyzing statistical data of some scientometric literature, extracting data from ISI Web of Knowledge and reviewing literature, these differences were explored in this paper.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman;"><strong>Findings</strong>: Limits of these databases in one hand and natural and inherent differences among scholarship fields and disciplines in other hand questioned the same use and similar interpretation of these indicators. Factors account to arise such differences include among others: discrepancies in ISI coverage of science, social science and humanities, different national/international orientation of ISI indexed journals in terms of different scholarship fields, disciplines and domains, variations in theatrical developments and consequent variations in citing and publishing behaviors of scholars, different publication formats and different target audience, language barriers (domination of English language in ISI indexes), tendency to one-authored publishing in some soft/qualitative fields, and citation to multiple written communication media in social science and humanities rather than in science.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="font-family: times new roman;"><strong>Conclusion</strong>: Considering the limitations of ISI scientometric indicators in evaluating all disciplines and fields, a methodology including current reformed methods in scientometrics and peer judgment is needed for achieving the best way, especially for scientometrics in qualitative fields of social science and humanities.</span></span></p>
