With the increase of scientific productions and in parallel with the development of scientometric units of medical universities, the experts of these units are more than ever faced with the process of indexing articles, validating journals, and identifying invalid journals. In this regard, sometimes in dealing with special cases and exceptions in the article approval process to promote faculty members and disrupt the process of completing commitments and terminating research projects, researchers are dissatisfied. In many cases, the cause of these dissatisfactions is the lack of knowledge about the new mechanism and rules of the indexes, journals, and regulations of the ministry and universities. The aim of this study was to inform the audience about some of the challenges faced by the experts of scientometric units in the workplace.
